One day, the mouse was chased by a cat who wanted to eat him. He ran for his life and reached the hut of the sage. He begged the sage to save him from the cat. The sage felt pity for the mouse and decided to help him. He used his magic and turned the mouse into a cat. The cat was happy and thanked the sage. He ran away from the hut, leaving the mouse behind.
The next day, the cat was chased by a dog who wanted to bite him. He ran for his life and reached the hut of the sage again. He begged the sage to save him from the dog. The sage felt annoyed by the cat’s cowardice and decided to help him again. He used his magic and turned the cat into a dog. The dog was happy and thanked the sage. He ran away from the hut, leaving the cat behind.
The following day, the dog was chased by a lion who wanted to kill him. He ran for his life and reached the hut of the sage once more. He begged the sage to save him from the lion. The sage felt angry by the dog’s ingratitude and decided to help him one last time. He used his magic and turned the dog into a lion. The lion was happy and thanked the sage. He ran away from the hut, leaving the dog behind.
The lion became proud and arrogant of his new form. He thought he was the king of the jungle and no one could harm him. He started to terrorize the other animals and even attacked some humans. The villagers who lived near the jungle knew that he was not a real lion, but a mouse who had been transformed by the sage. They made fun of him and called him names. They said he was just a silly mouse, pretending to be a lion.
The lion felt humiliated and angry by their taunts. He thought he could never stop their jokes unless he killed the sage who had changed him. He decided to go to the hut of the sage and end his life. He roared loudly and ran towards the hut.
The sage heard his roar and saw him coming. He knew what was on his mind and felt sad by his wickedness. He said, “You are an ungrateful and foolish creature. You do not deserve to be a lion or any other animal. You have abused my kindness and betrayed my trust. Go back to your original form of a mouse.”
As soon as he said these words, he used his magic and turned the lion back into a mouse. The mouse felt ashamed and scared by his fate. He realized his mistake and apologized to the sage. But it was too late. The sage had no mercy for him and drove him away from his hut.
The mouse ran away from the hut, feeling sorry for himself. He learned a hard lesson that day: Do not be greedy for things that are not meant for you.
