The King and the Silly Monkey
Moral of the story: We should be careful of silly friends because they can hurt us more than our enemies.
Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there was a king. This king had a pet monkey. The monkey was very silly, but the king liked him very much. The monkey could go anywhere in the king’s big, beautiful palace. He could even go into the king’s special rooms where no one else was allowed.
One sunny day, the king decided to take a nap in his room. The monkey was there too, watching over the king while he slept. Suddenly, a tiny fly flew into the room through an open window. It buzzed around and then landed on the king’s chest.
The monkey saw this and tried to make the fly go away by waving his hands. But the fly was very naughty and kept coming back to sit on the king’s chest.
This made the monkey very angry. He picked up a shiny sword that was lying nearby and started chasing the fly around the room. The fly was very fast and it was hard for the monkey to catch it.
Finally, when the fly landed on the king’s chest again, the monkey hit it with all his strength using the sword. The fly quickly flew away without any harm, but the king got hurt because of the sword.
Everyone in the palace was shocked when they found out what happened. They realized that even though the monkey was a friend of the king, he had caused more harm than any enemy could have.
Moral of the story, “The King and the Silly Monkey” is we should be careful of silly friends because they can hurt us more than our enemies.
