The Wise Little Friend and the Big Scary Lion

Moral of the story: Sometimes, common sense is more important than book knowledge.

Once upon a time, in a faraway town, there were four best friends. They were all young and smart, but in different ways. Three of them were like little professors, always reading big books and learning new things. But the fourth friend, even though he didn’t read as many books, was very clever and always had smart ideas.

One sunny day, the four friends decided to go on an adventure. They thought, “We have learned so much from our books, let’s use our knowledge to do something exciting!” But the three book-smart friends thought that their clever friend might not be helpful on this adventure because he didn’t read as many books as they did.

But the clever friend pleaded, “Please, let me come with you on the adventure. I promise I will be helpful!” The three book-smart friends agreed, “Alright, we are best friends after all. Let’s go on this adventure together!”

So, off they went, walking through a big, green jungle. Suddenly, they saw the bones of a big, scary lion on their path. One of them had an idea, “Let’s use our book knowledge to bring this lion back to life!”

The clever friend didn’t think this was a good idea. He said, “Friends, if the lion comes back to life, he might hurt us!” But the three book-smart friends didn’t listen. They started using their book knowledge to bring the lion back to life.

One friend used his knowledge to put the lion’s bones back together. Another friend used his knowledge to cover the bones with skin and fur. The lion now looked real, but it was still not alive.

Just as the third friend was about to use his knowledge to bring the lion to life, the clever friend quickly climbed up a tall tree. He shouted, “Friends, please stop! The lion will be dangerous!” But the three book-smart friends didn’t listen. They thought the clever friend was just jealous of their book knowledge.

Then, the third friend used his knowledge, and the lion sprang to life! The lion saw the three friends celebrating and without wasting a moment, he pounced on them. The clever friend could do nothing but watch from the tree.

When the lion left, the clever friend climbed down and went back home, all alone. He was sad but he learned an important lesson that day.
