The Clever Lamb and the Foolish Wolf
Moral of the Story: Never lose your cool in adversity.
Once upon a time, in a peaceful meadow, there lived a flock of sheep. Among them was a clever little lamb named Lily. One day, a hungry wolf named Ravi sneaked into the meadow and picked up Lily, running away with her.
Ravi was about to kill Lily when she pleaded, “You may kill me, sir, but please fulfill my last wish before you do.”
Surprised, Ravi asked, “What is your last wish?”
Lily replied, “I’ve heard that you play the flute really well. Could you please play a tune for me? I want to die in peace.”
Flattered by the compliment, Ravi took out his flute and started playing a tune. When he stopped, Lily said, “That sounds so wonderful! Could you play it louder, please?”
The foolish wolf, not understanding Lily’s trick, said, “Oh yes, I can definitely play it louder.” He started playing the flute even louder.
The loud sound of the flute alerted the shepherd and his dogs. In no time, they reached the place where Ravi was playing the flute. The dogs chased Ravi away, and Lily was saved.
The clever lamb was free and happily rejoined her flock. She had outsmarted the wolf with her quick thinking and calmness.
And so, Lily learned that never losing your cool in adversity can help you find a way out of even the trickiest situations. From that day on, she always remembered to stay calm and think clearly, no matter what challenges she faced.
